This presentation shows how AI is shifting federal and commercial contract specialists from manual admin work to strategic advisory roles. Government AI initiatives (e.g., GSA’s One Gov) are streamlining procurement, cutting routine work by up to 40%, and speeding decision-making via automation. Examples like the Army’s Dora Bot and the IRS clause-review AI demonstrate real efficiency gains. Contract specialists will focus on AI governance, data analysis, risk management, and bridging tech and policy; success requires data literacy, technical fluency, and critical analysis.
