DESCRIPTION
The United States is grappling with a tangled web of economic challenges created by the lasting impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the “great resignation”, the war in Ukraine, and the highest inflation experienced in decades. Companies doing business with the Federal Government face the same challenges as their commercial counterparts in dealing with these issues; but, thanks to Federal procurement laws, regulations, and oversight, contractors navigating through them encounter additional complexity. Fortunately, even in periods of economic uncertainty such as these, those same convoluted laws and regulations provide solutions and alternatives that allow the Government to procure the goods and services it needs, at fair and reasonable prices, but with equitable financial outcome for all parties.
This session will explore the unique economic challenges government contractors face today, regulatory options to address economic uncertainties, and potential strategies for contractors to consider when negotiating with their government customers and suppliers.
